A slyly suspenseful, exciting (and sometimes agonizing) edge-of-your-seat story of how a bar owner (Dan Hedaya hires a private eye (M. Emmet Walsh) to follow his wife (Frances McDormand) to find out if she's cheating on him. Blood Simple is defined as a "state of confusion that follows the commission of a murder, e.g., 'He's gone blood simple.'"
