This absurd and gentle comedy introduces Martin as "a poor black child" in his first starring role. When he leaves his adoptive family to find his way in the world, he bumbles through many an odd job - "For one dollar, I'll guess your weight, your height or your sex." People often exploit his naivete, until he invents a nose support device for eyeglasses that brings him a fortune.
